The Court of Appeals will now review the complaint of Naim Mursel, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment for his wife’s murder, Liridona Ademiaj.

The hearing will be held at the Hall of Justice in Hyvali, starting at 11:10, where defence claims concerning the Constitutional Court Act in Pristina are expected to be considered.

Mursel’s defense has demanded an annulment of the first – degree act or the pronunciation of a milder sentence.

In her complaint, she has filed claims on how to evaluate evidence and on certain demands, which, according to defence, have not been adopted during the judicial process.

On the first scale, on April 21, 2026, the Constitutional Court in Pristina sentenced Naim Mursel and Granit Plava to life in prison, while Cocallus to 30 years in prison for their involvement in the murder of Liridona Ademiaj.

Liridona Ademiaj was killed on November 29, 2023, in Brnica, Pristina, while in the car with her husband and their two children.

The complaint against the indictment has also been presented by the representative of the family of Liridona Ademiaj, who has sought life in prison and for the Cocallus Framework.

The Court of Appeals is expected to review the parties’ claims and decide on complaints filed against the first degree act of justice.
