The Alliance has called for the resignation of Justice Minister Donika Grovalla and Interior Affairs Minister Jalal Svecla, holding them responsible for the failure of the National Strategy for Protection from Family Violence and Violence on Women, as well as for managing the case of Arlinda Zekitaj.
In a media report, the Alliance has estimated that the political responsibility for the failure of the strategy lies with the Ministry of Justice, while expressing support for Kosovo’s women’s call for the resignation of Minister Gervala.
Also, this party has called for the resignation of Minister Svecla, citing the management of the Arlinda Zekaj case as fatal.
The Alliance has demanded that the National Strategy for Protection from Family Violence and Violence on Women be changed urgently and overall, stressing that responsibility should not be limited to officials of lower levels in the police or prosecutor.
