Oil prices in Kosovo, as well as in other countries, began to be expensive following the outbreak of war in the Middle East in February 2026.

At the beginning of March, they behaved from 1.15 to 1,25 cents, while in April, 1,89 euros per litre of oil, 1,46 per litre of gasoline.

That same month, MINT set the ceiling price for fuel for three months, but the ministry had extended the possibility of applying up to 150 days before completely removing it in early September.

In May, the maximum price for oil was 1,68 euros per litre, while gasoline was 1,49. While in early July, oil cost 1,39 euros, 1.5 euros.

September already brought up lifts, where a litre of oil ranged from 1.95 to 1,97 euros, while gasoline ran around 1.65 euros.
