Manchester United’s match against Como is seriously at risk of being postponed because of severe weather conditions.

Unitedi is expected to hold the 3rd season match at the Lombardi Champions League against the team led by Cesc Fabregas.

However, the confrontation at the éiuseppe Sinigalliaʹ stadium, with a capacity of 13,600 seats, may not develop because of heavy rainfall. The forecasts speak of 64 millimeters of rain before the match, while bad weather is expected to continue until its completion.

The Italian National Meteorological Air Force Service has issued an orange alert for dangerous weather, warning of the possibility of lightning and thunder storms.

A video showing the situation in the stadium is being circulated on social networks, where only one of the four trains is covered.

On the other hand, Cosmo believes that the field will deal with the rainfall, while Manchester United coach Michael Carrick said his team has become accustomed to rain and will try to make good use of the situation.

However, extreme atmospheric conditions could endanger the safety of football players and fans, so the postponement of the match remains a real possibility.

UEFA’s regulation of the 2026/27 season clearly defines procedures in case of postponement of a match. According to Article 27, the next day is the first opportunity to be considered, but not an absolute obligation.

If, on the day of the match, it is decided that it cannot begin according to plan or that it can’t finish all the games or minutes left, in principle the next day will take place. This does not violate possible disciplinary measures, says UEFA documents. /Telegraph/
