Medicines used in mountain patients worth 336,000 denars were discovered in a fast aid box on a bus at the Bogordica border crossing at the entrance of Macedonia. It’s a 29-pack with the Xgeva drug, which, according to the Customs Directorate, has attempted to be smuggled by a bus driver, a Kosovo citizen, against whom criminal charges have been filed.
The case was discovered at the country’s entrance to the Bogordica border checkpoint, where, during a bus search, in a first aid box, 29 flames worth 336 thousand denars, 29 boxes, as well as 30 self-stick labels packed in a black nylon/Najlon) bag were discovered, the Customs Directorate reports.

The published photos indicate that it is about the drug Xgevaí of 120 milligrams, which contains the active substance “denosumabi” and is used, among other things, to prevent serious bone complications in patients with certain malaria.
The package says that the medicine should be stored at a temperature of between 2 and 8 degrees Fahrenheit [2 – 8 ° C]. It is not yet known whether these conditions are respected during bus transportation.
The import of the drug is strictly regulated with permission from competent institutions, and its transport is subject to particular standards.
The seizure was conducted by a mobile team by the Department for Operational Affairs, while the Department for Investigation filed criminal charges against the driver for smuggling.
According to the Customs Directorate, more than 30,000 pieces of medicine have been seized at border points since the beginning of this year./Telegraphy/
