Ministry of Health ( MSH) and the Kosovo National Public Health Institute ( IKKPK has announced that they have reached vaccines against seasonal flu and that today they have started distribution into all leading Family Medicine Centres ( QKMF.
According to the announcement, the vaccine will begin after the end of the vaccine distribution at the QKMF and their entities.
Citizens wishing to receive more detailed information on the beginning of the vaccine can contact the nearest institution of primary health care in their municipality.
MSH and IKKPK have called on citizens to be vaccinated, with particular emphasis on those who are part of high-risk groups.
Among the categories recommended to be vaccinated are people over 65, those with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, chronically ill children, people living in long – term care institutions, and health professionals.
The vaccine is recommended for other citizens who want to protect themselves from the seasonal flu.
According to health institutions, the vaccine is one of the most important measures to reduce the risk of complications, severe forms of disease, and hospitalization.
