The Vetvendosje Movement in Pristina has reacted to Pristina’s chairman, Progress Rama, accusing him of publishing decisions that, according to this party, have been deemed illegal by the respective ministries.

According to Vetevendosje, the Pristina municipality has published on its official page the decision on providing 50 years of use for the Tullore space and decisions on setting locations for different projects, though the respective ministries have deemed them illegal and have announced the municipality within the legal deadline.

Pristina’s chief chief, Progress Rama, should provide responsibility for publishing these decisions without the regulated counterlaws, said Vetevendosje’s response.

According to this party, this approach expresses an unacceptable opinion of local governance.

What message is given to citizens when the Community itself acts as if the assessments of responsible institutions do not matter? Pristina cannot be governed according to logic that the president’s will and interest are above the law, the communique says.

Vetevendosje has stressed that publishing on the official page does not remove the counterlaw from a decision, and that the ministry’s assessments require institutional treatment and legal answers.

According to her, Law No. 08/L-284 for Administrative Review of the Communist Acts clearly defines the procedure, demanding reevaluating the act when inconsistencies with the law, not publication.

To treat as insignificant the assessments of legitimacy is to challenge the authority of the Republic institutions. Municipal autonomy is not a permit for arbitrators, nor should it be an opportunity to put personal and social interests on state laws, it is further said in response.

In the end, Vetevendosje has stressed that Kosovo Rama has a mandate to govern Pristina within the law, but not to set its own borders.

Pristina is the capital of the Republic. It is not the republic of Rama Progress!
