Organization QICA) has carried out a symbolic action in front of the Kosovo Government building, where the building’s steps are painted red.
The event has been held a day after the assassination of Arlinda Zekiaj in Vitomirica of Peja, which has prompted numerous reactions and has turned to attention violence against women in Kosovo.
Through this symbolic act, QICA has brought attention to the murder of women and the responsibility of institutions to ensure their protection and security.
The red color on the steps of the Government building comes at a time when the case of Arlinda Zekaj has prompted calls for institutional accountability and concrete measures for preventing violence against women.
