On Thursday afternoon, in St. Stefan, a meeting was held with the country’s prime minister, Albin Kurti and Lord Wood of Anfield, the Deputy Parliamentary Secretary of State for Europe at the British Foreign Ministry, where the focus was on strengthening bilateral relations between Kosovo and the UK.

Kurti wrote through a post on the social network on Facebook that during the meeting, the importance of close and ongoing dialogue with London was highlighted, as well as opportunities for expanding co-operation in areas of common interest.

Yesterday afternoon in St. Stefan, I met Lord Wood of Anfield, the Undersecretary of State for Europe at the British Foreign Ministry. Our dialogue with London is close and continuous. This meeting comes after conversations I’ve had over the past two months with Special Envoy to the Western Balkans Dame Karen Pierce, one at the UN General Assembly in New York and the other over the phone from Pristina, when she also conveyed to me the wishes of Prime Minister Burnham for the election of Presidentes, Kurti wrote.

He also said that the United Kingdom has been a key friend and ally in every stage of our development, from liberation and independence to today’s democracy, and remains among the most powerful voices for our Euro-Atlantic integration.

Now, with fully functional institutions, we are focused on reforms and development, with greater space for our co-operation, from defence to the Pristina Mediterranean Games 2030, Kurti wrote on Facebook. /Telegraphy/
