Jordan Bardella is re-elected at the top of the National Rally ( RN) in France, securing 98.98% of the vote in a contest without opponents.
The result was announced during the party’s two-day congress in Orléans, under preparations for 2027 presidential elections.

Bardella received 75,497 votes.
He called on supporters to join after Marine Le Pen, who is expected to run for president, while he is seen as the possible candidate for prime minister if the RN secures the parliamentary majority.
Congress was accompanied by a protest in the streets of Orléans.
Authorities praised participation in about 11,000 people, while organisers claimed that 26,000 people participated in the march. The protest was held peacefully.
Part of it were leftist politicians and union leaders who criticised the RN’s positions and the impact of the extreme right in French society.
Marine Le Pen is expected to address supporters Sunday, with a speech presenting her vision for France and priorities for the 2027 elections.
The party has placed at the centre of its agenda issues such as the economy, housing and cost of living, aiming to consolidate electoral support for the presidential race. /Telegraphy/
