Meanwhile, Coach Cristian Chivu is considering the possibility of rotation in formation for the match against Venice.
Zikaltri is expected five days in charge, with two important challenges on the calendar. Initially, Inter will face Venice, ahead of the big derby to Milan, held on Saturday, October 31, 20:45.
However, confronting the rival city will develop without one of the team’s most important players. Lautaro Martinez will not be ready, since he has failed to recover from the injury in his thigh muscles, which he suffered after losing to Brugges.
This injury has kept the captain out of the field in the last four matches, while his absence is expected to continue in the handle.
Three Players Waiting for Return
Curtis Jones, John Stones and Benjamin Padward are close to returning Chivu, but none of them are expected to play against Venice.
The three players have not yet been trained with the rest of the team and their situation will be assessed in the coming days, with the aim of being ready for derbin to Milan.
Chivu plans rotation
Despite the importance of derby, Inter cannot underestimate facing Venice. For this reason, Chivu is considering some changes in formation, but without making a major rotation.
Manuel Akanji is expected to rest, while Carlos Augusto can play again on the defence wing with three players. Alessandro Baston, meanwhile, is expected to return to the center of the defensive department.
Hakan Chalhanoglu can also be given a break so that he can be in the optimum state of derby. In this case, the chance to play could be given to Aleksandar Stankovic.
In the attack, Marcus Thram can start the match from the bench and activate in a short period of 30 minutes. Instead, it is expected that the double Pio Esposito Ange-Yoan Bonny will assume responsibility in the offensive department.
The Inter aims to successfully meet the challenge to Venice, while simultaneously managing the physical condition of pre-debit players that may have significant impact on the continuation of the season.
