The Court of Appeals has reduced the sentence from 6 years in prison to 5 years and 6 months to former Kosovo Police Officer Bojan Yevtic, charged with spying, while proving fine sentences of 2,000 euros for illegal weapons.
The defendants, Bojan Jevtic, for the criminal offence he has been convicted of, pronounce jail sentences of five years and six months, in which the sentence is counted even the time spent in detention from 1707.2025 to the full might of this act, while penalty penalty for criminal work possession, control, or unauthorized possession of arms in many of 2,000.000. The trial of the Court of Appeals.

Initially, the Pristina Court in May 2026, following the adoption of the plea agreement for the crime of spying on accused Bojan Jevtic had sentenced him to 6 years in prison, while for illegal possession of 2,000 euros in fines.
The court had also pronounced a supplementary sentence like: Stop the operation exercise in public administration for 5 years.
The Court of Appeals has concluded that the Constitutional Court contains no substantial violation of criminal procedure provisions and that no violation of criminal law at the expense of the defendant has been found.
The Court of Appeals has estimated that the defendants’ complaint claims regarding criminal sanctions are based on the fact that the Court of First Scale has not correctly and fully assessed relevant circumstances affecting the appointment of type and height of sentence, taking into account all the circumstances of the concrete case.
The Court of Appeals’ college has reportedly ruled that the defendant’s defender’s claims in complaint of a milder sentence are based.
On the other hand, the Court of Appeals has said that the First Court has rightly assessed the importance of criminal acts and its serious consequences, given the fact that it concerns a criminal offence that enters the category of criminal acts against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.
But the college of this Court has estimated that in the concrete case given the circumstances of the case, the sentence pronounced by the First Court for 6 years in prison for criminal work spying turns out to be a severe punishment, given the extenuating circumstances as admitting guilt in the early phase of the investigation.
According to Appeal, this first-instance court circumstance has not been given due importance in the case of the conviction against defendants Bojan Yevtic.
The sentence stated by the court on the first six years in prison for criminal work éSpinage has proved to be a severe punishment, given the extensive circumstances of admitting guilt from the early stage of the investigation, the circumstance that has not been given due to the case of the conviction appointed to defendants Bojan Jevtic, and in connection with other extensive circumstances such as co-operation with state organs, lack of prior sentences, personal and family circumstances, the fact that the same is the father of three children, the deep repentance for their overall work, and in general, indicate that a lower sentence, now, as the practice of the pre-prisonable act of pre-prisonment can be carried out by KKPR. The trial of the Court of Appeals against Bojan Yevtics is stated.
At the end of the trial it is said that the College of the Court of Appeals has estimated that the complaining act should be changed only in the part that concerns the stated condemnation of the spying criminal work, while in other parts the Constitutional Act remains unchanged.
The decision on this case is made by the judges: Valon Kurtaj (head), Albina Shabani-Rama (quoting judges) and Vaton Dorgi (members).
We remember that the hearing at the Court of Appeals in this case was held in 06.10,2026. At this hearing accused of spying, Bojan Jevtic had expressed regret over his actions.
I’m sorry for my actions, as you’ve seen, I’ve done it before the investigation started. I’ve been working in the Kosovo Police since the Kosovo Police were formed, at that time by my people I’ve seen a lot of humiliation. Yeah.
