DDemocratic Party of Kosovo ( The PDK), Blerta Deliu, has criticised Government and Justice Minister Donika Grovalla and Interior Affairs Minister Jelal Svecla over the Arlinda Zekiaj assassination case.

She has accused the executive of failing to meet institutional responsibilities for the protection of citizens.

Speaking on show DPS at Fidanı in Klan Kosova, Deliu has cited cases of women killing that occurred this year, as well as those of domestic violence.

These were responsible for the failure of the state not only in the case of Arlinda Zekaj, we have nine murders this year, and we’ve got huge damage. See police reports every day, five, six, seven cases of domestic violence, Deliu has declared.

She has stressed that she is not claiming that past governments have not faced similar challenges, but, according to her, the Arlinda case has highlighted the lack of institutional responsibility.

Deliu has criticised the functioning of institutional mechanisms, including police, Prosecution, judiciary and Government, saying they have failed to ensure a woman the fundamental right to life and protection, Klankosova.tv reports.
