A woman from Peja has denounced her former husband for serious threats to life, while according to her statements, violence and fear had begun much earlier. She claims that she had been forced to leave home with her children after her former husband had threatened to burn her house, which was suspected to have happened, the Signal newspaper reports.
The case was reported on October 25, 2026, at 3:20 p.m., at Hyka’s Hyka Street, at Vitomirica Pec.
Signal sources suggest the victim is a 37-year-old, identified with the initial K.M., while the suspect is her former husband, V.M., 39.
According to the indictment, the recent threat occurred while the suspect was communicating over the phone with their children.

The woman has stated before the investigators that because of the danger she felt about herself and her children, she had recently left home.
According to her, her former husband had threatened to burn her home, while a few days later the object was involved in the fire, which was reported to the police.
But the alleged threats were not over. The target had also resulted in the home of his wife’s parents.
According to information provided by the signal, the suspect had warned that he would also damage this property, while on October 26th he allegedly went to his former husband’s mother’s house, where he had broken the windows of the door and of the balcony windows.
The victim’s mother, 59-year-old V.M., has also been interviewed in the quality of the damaged side.
After reporting and investigative actions, police have arrested the 39-year-old and accompanied him to the Investigation Unit at the Police Station in Pec.
At the State Attorney’s decision, the 48-hour ban has been imposed on him.
The case has been initiated for criminal acts ʹCanosja and Kosovo’s intelligence or damage to property, in the context of domestic violence, as investigations continue to clarify full circumstances.
