Those who aim to lose weight quickly choose extreme diets and methods that, instead of long – term results, can lead to a return to lost pounds.
Medical and nutritionist María Jose Crispin, of the Clínica Menorca Clinic in Madrid, has identified three common errors that could hinder sustainable weakness.

The first mistake is following extreme diets that promise rapid weight loss. According to Crispin, these diets can cause loss of muscle mass and fluids, while after returning to normal nutrition, pounds can return – even in larger amounts.
It advises creating healthy habits that can be maintained for a long time rather than strict food restrictions.
The second mistake is to focus solely on food and neglect physical activity. The swimmer recommends combining cardio exercise with the training of force, which helps to keep muscles, improve conditioning, and maintain weight.
At the same time, the third error is the complete elimination of fats.
Crispin points out that weight gain is mainly linked to overindulgence, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, or alcohol.
It recommends the involvement of healthy fats in daily feeding, such as those found in salmon, olive oil, and avocado, while advising the restriction of trans fats and the surplus of full fats.
According to the bookist, sustained vulnerability is achieved, not through hunger or elimination of whole food groups, but through balanced nutrition, physical activity, and healthy long – term habits.
