Lawyer Shkelzen Soopyan has commented on the resignation of Kosovo Police General Director Gazmend Hoxha, saying that responsibility for the Arlinda Zekij case should not stop only with police.
Soopyan, invited to ʹ IN Dukagjin, police have estimated that during Hoxha’s leadership, especially after the attack on Banjska, they have also marked positive developments.

However, he has said his resignation, in this situation, raises the question of responsibility in other institutions as well.
So there’s chief prosecutor and prosecutor. The institutional responsibility addressed with some suspensions, yet I think that professional responsibility is much deeper and longer-term, Soopyan has declared.
He has stressed that the most serious problem in the justice system is the decline in accountability and the lack of fear of professional consequences, a phenomenon that, according to him, has been highlighted over the past 10-15 years.
The account is disappearing to the lowest level of the official, as fear of the consequences has disappeared, he said.
To illustrate this problem, Sopjan has also mentioned his experience as a lawyer, saying that there are cases when the Court of Appeals destroys judges 30 to 40 acts of justice in one year, but they do not face responsibility.
Since my experience as a lawyer, there are many cases of a judge breaking Apeli’s 30-40 convictions during the year and having no responsibility, no one tells him anything. In the end, the assessment is about how many cases have been resolved, but not the quality of the judgments.
