The Kosovo Special Prosecutor, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence, has conducted an action against an alleged international criminal group, which allegedly deals with trafficking in narcotics substances.
Authorities announced that a group that had prepared some 37kg of heroin for the market was hit during the operation.

According to information concerning the case, investigations and operational actions have been conducted for less than a week, starting on October 30th. This deadline is considered by prosecutor Father and Dema as a record time for realising such an operation.
By order of the case prosecutor, Father and Dema, at 21:45 a depot in the Ferizaj region has been realized, where a considerable amount of drugs have been discovered. Then four more locations were raided.
The drugs found at Ferizaj were placed in a bag and in several other packages.
The investigators’ suspicions are that heroin was transported from Iran to Kosovo, hidden within a shipment of commercial goods.
According to allegations, its final destination was transportation outside Kosovo, where it would enter the narcotics market.
Under this operation, five suspected persons have been detained, against whom the 48-hour ban has been imposed.
