Everything is new inside and outside this school.

It was renovated in recent years to serve the small people of the Podaj neighbourhood in Koliq, but on this September there was not enough students to start the school year.

11 of her students were held in the mother school, Tefik Qangaı, within the same village.

Now there are about 30 students. It’s a good thing that now there’s no combination classes here, they’re divided, and learning is going on a little better, declared Naim Sheqiri an educator.

Even with this move, no school class manages to have ten students.

Teachers ask the Pristina Community to find special forms to keep the school open.

This school is the hope of the village of Kolic, because here we have the ambulance and the civil office, and I’m hoping this school won’t close for a few years, educator Naim Sheqiri stressed.

Meanwhile, the Directorate for Education of the Pristina municipality says empty objects will be exploited for other community needs.

It’s basically about three objects that won’t serve as schools, but we’ll remodify something else, for what the village needs, Arian Elshani ʹ director for Education stated in Pristina’s municipality.

The village of Kolic is only 25km from Pristina. Road infrastructure is regulated and has public transportation, but currently some 250 residents live here.
