The United States of America has carried out limited military attacks on targets on the Iranian island of laughter, the Strait of Hormuz, on the eve of the US Muslim elections.
The news has been confirmed by American media officials who have described the attacks as defensive. According to them, the operation came in response after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard had shot at an American aircraft.
Iranian state agency IRNA reported several explosions on the island during Monday, while US authorities stressed that it was limited attacks and not for the resumption of major military operations against Iran.
The attacks occurred a day before the US Muslim elections, in which it determines which party will control the US Congress.
