Samsung officially presented the Galaxy S26 series only in late February, as phones went on sale in early March.

According to information published by an internal source, the next Galaxy S27 series can be returned to the regular presentation schedule in January or February.

According to users Lanzuk, who published information on the South Korean Nover platform, the main decisions on new equipment have already been made, though the exact date of presentation has not been set.

However, one of the main issues remains memory. In September it was reported that Samsung was planning to use LPDDR5X memory chips and UFS 4.x storage space in standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+, while the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra models were expected to be equipped with the latest LPDDR6 and UFS 5.

According to recent reports, rising prices of memory components could force the company to reconsider plans for models Pro and Ultra, pushing the anticipated improvements.

UFS 5 technology promises speeds of up to 10.8 gigabytes per second for data reading and up to 9.8 gigabytes per second for writing. This represents a significant improvement compared to UFS 4.1, while energy consumption is expected to be about 40 percent lower.

Even the LPDDR6 memory is expected to bring tangible improvements, with speeds of transfer from 10.6 to 14.4 gigabs per second per pin, compared to the maximum of 8.5 gigabibits per second of LPDDR5X.

These improvements would enable higher performance in the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra models, but would raise production costs as well. Thus, there is the possibility that the whole new series will have higher prices, although it is not yet known how much equipment can cost.

Another unresolved issue relates to the Galaxy S27 Ultra processor. Samsung has not yet confirmed whether he will choose Qualcomm’s chip, or Exynos processor, developed by the company itself. Qualcom has denied allegations of overheating problems, but so far there is no new information on Samsung’s final decision.

For the moment, the company has not officially announced the date of the presentation and final specifications of the Galaxy S27 series. /Telegraphy/
