Even the director of Marine and Small Ships at Border Security Command, Charlie Eastaugh, described the case as evidence of co-operation between British authorities in the fight against smuggling immigrants.

This sentence is evidence of the extraordinary work of Border Security Command officers and investigators of the National Criminal Agency.

Human smugglers care for profits, not lives that are at stake. We will continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners to bring them to justice, Eastaugh said.
