The Parliamentary Group of the Vetevendosje Movement has started collecting signatures for calling an extraordinary session of the Kosovo Parliamentary Assembly, following the assassination of Arlinda Silaj Zekaj in Vitomirica in Pec.
The VV deputy, Arberie Nagavci, has made this known through a Facebook post, where she has announced that the session is designed to be held today.

The murder of the woman in Vitomirica of Pec, who three days earlier had warned institutions of the danger to her life, is a tragedy requiring justice and institutional responsibility. As the Parliamentary Group of Movement V WE have immediately begun collecting signatures for calling an extraordinary session in the Kosovo Assembly to be held today. As a first step, we will seek the establishment of a parliamentary investigative commission to investigate the entire chain of responsibility in this case and whiteen the actions and inactions of institutions, Nagavci said.
The VV chief then wrote that Arlinda sought help and protection, but ended up dead. No woman should lose her life because she is addressing institutions for protection. The responsibility is measured by the ability to prevent violence and to react in time.
At the end of the post, the former education minister said that any action and inaction should be investigated and no one should evade responsibility.
