Netanyah accuses Arab parties of election manipulation, calls for immediate investigation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah’s Liquid party has accused Arab parties of manipulating parliamentary elections in Israel, calling by authorities for the immediate launch of an investigation into alleged irregularities.

In a statement following Tuesday’s vote, Likud claims the election process has been violated by serious violations, including bribery, threats, violence, counterfeiting and manipulation of ballot sheets. According to the party, these actions were intended to influence the outcome of elections in favour of Arab parties.

Likud has announced that he will hand over Israel Police, Interior Service, Shin Bet, as well as the Central Election Commission hundreds of testimony and materials, which, according to her, support allegations of violations in polling stations in Arab communities.

Among the claims raised by Netanyah’s party are the find of thousands of envelopes allegedly containing money and ballot papers for Ra ‘%am party, threats and acts of violence against members of election commissions, the entry of several voters at the polls, as well as voting with double identities.

Likud also claims that differences between the number of ballot envelopes and those of registered voters have been recorded, as well as that banned computer programmes have been used to mobilise voters.

However, so far, the charges brought by Likud have not been independently verified. Also, no evidence has been made public proving that Arab parties have organised systematic manipulation of the election result in Israel.
