Amid clashes and criticism, the Commission’s Day Economics Meeting is taking place, and the report of the chairman of the Competition Authority, Nehemiah Binaku.
However, the same has announced that it will not be able to participate in reporting, for objective reasons.

So, at least the chairman of the Commission for Economy, Arben Mustafa, announced.
Mustafa and the other members of the commission from the opposition ranks demanded that the situation in the Competition Authority be discussed at the meeting, despite the chairman of this institution’s presence.
And as Mustafa started arguing about why the Competition Authority should be discussed, members from the Vetevendosje ranks reacted by criticising him for misusing the mayor’s office by speaking out of the agenda.
The mayor has not invited a meeting of the Competition Commission, which manages the work of the Committee, since May 2025. So there are quorums, but meetings are not invited for about a year and a half. During this period of defunction, the chairman has adopted the commission’s competencies. And despite requests for the Law for Public Officials, since March 2024, it has violated the law after refusing to remove the general director of authority despite having two charges, Arben Mustafa of PDK.
Members of the commission by Vetevendosje said no findings should be granted, but should have the committee chairman called again for reporting.
We have to create a working culture on the commission and not start e-borrowing points if we disagree or agree that they are part of the agenda. There’s nothing to hide. We’re here to clear the situation. The administration can ask Mrs. Neime once again and we’ll be here to free him, Vetevendosje deputy Taulant Kelmendi has declared.
LDK MP Ermal Sadiku said that for two years a series of scandals in the Competition Authority have been reported, and therefore demanded that this institution’s work be discussed at the meeting today.
Beyond the political struggle that we can then, when there’s something that might be for the good of the country, it’s good to discuss a subject whether or not that person is present or not. We’re here to oversee that commission. So many scandals that have occurred in two years. We don’t need to postpone it, we can upload, he added.
Critical of the work of the Competition Authority, AAK deputy Burim Ramadani also indicated.
Let me remind you that we are her employers. We don’t report to the authorities, they have to report to us. Anyone who’s used to thinking that there’s no spot of surveillance, must be told that he has, he has declared.
