Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has announced that under the Berlin Process Summit, held on 22 October in St. Stefan, he has held a meeting with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic.

Through a Facebook post, Kurti has thanked Spajiqi for the hospitality and chairmanship of the Berlin Process this year, and has praised her for Montenegro’s progress towards membership in the European Union (EU).

Kurti has stressed that Kosovo and Montenegro are good neighbours and share commitment to democratic progress.

He has said that Kosovo is interested in learning from Montenegro’s experience on the road to the EU, while awaiting obtaining candidate country status and opening membership negotiations.

According to Kurti, bilateral co-operation has also been discussed during the meeting, especially through improved infrastructure interconnection between the two countries.
