In her response, the KOMF stresses that Arlinda had sought assistance from institutions and denounced violence while trying to protect her rights and stay close to her child.
According to the KOMF, although the court had decided that child care was entrusted to Arlinda, she was facing obstacles in exercising her rights as a mother.

The organisation estimates that the case raises serious concerns about the functioning of institutional defence mechanisms, including the Police, Prosecutors, Court and Centre for Social Work.
The COMMF requires immediate, independent and complete investigation of all circumstances, as well as accountability for any wrongdoing or neglect that could be found.
It also requires that the Arlinda child be provided immediate protection, psychological support, and safe care, guaranteeing better interest and privacy.
This case should not end with statements of comfort. We ask for full maturity, concrete responsibility and sustainable child protection, the KMF’s response says.
In the end, the organisation stresses that violence against women is at the same time a matter of security and child rights, calling for strengthening defence mechanisms and effective implementation of judicial decisions.
