The founding prosecutor in Prizren ) the Randa Crime Department reports that, following ongoing and intensive investigation into the case of the discovery of half a ton of marijuana in Suka’s Macqiteva has arrested two people — the M.A. and B.A. — under suspicion of involvement in the cultivation and processing of narcotics substances.

The case relates to the Basic Prosecutor’s Action in Prizren, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, held on September 16th 2025 at a shed in the mountainous area of the village of Makaqieva, where over half a ton of marijuana had been discovered and seized.

In addition to the narcotic substance, a grenade launcher, an arm rocket, a hunting rifle, rifle bullets, a tractor with trailers, tools, and tools used for cultivation and processing, computer equipment, and other material evidence. While the prosecution, it had issued temporary orders for the seizure or freeze of two parcels in this village, with area of 1,963 and 1,438 square metres.

According to the prosecution’s request, suspects M.A. and B.A. have acted in co-ordination with the F.N., with the aim of cultivating cannabis and preparing narcotics for sale and market distribution. With these actions in co-ordination, criminal acts have been carried out by the articles 272 of KPRK, as well as the possession, distribution and unauthorized selling of narcotics, psychotropic and analogic substances by Article 267 of KPRK.

Also, the M.A., suspected of criminal work possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons, from Article 366 of KPRK, as during the search of his home, October 26, 2026, a semi-automatic rifle with seven rounds has been seized.

Also, the B.A. is suspected of the same criminal act, as during the search of his home in September 2025, a barreling rifle has been seized.
