Albanian MP in Serbia’s Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has declared he is willing to co-operate with the Student List after parliamentary elections, if there is a will for a serious dialogue.

In an interview for Deutsche Welle, Kamberi has stressed that Albanians of the Presevo Valley do not intend to take positions only to create the impression of involvement in institutions, but require that their rights and requirements be realised.

He has said the priority remains the implementation of the 7-point Plan, as well as the handling of urgent issues affecting Albanians, including the failure of addresses, representation in institutions and education.

Kamberi has called on the Student List for the issue of Albanians in the Presevo Valley to include in her vision of changing Serbia.

My message to them would be simple: if you target a democratic, responsible and better regional Serbia, then include the issue of Albanians from the Presevo Valley in your vision for change, Camberi has declared.

He has also stressed that Serbia should treat Kosovo as an equal partner and build normal relations through mutual dialogue and respect.

The Student List has won the majority in the 25 October parliamentary elections, ending Aleksandar Vuciqi’s 12-year powers.
