Former Special Minister of Real Madrid and Liverpool Steve McManaman has expressed his preference for the Golden Ball winner, selecting Kilian Mbupen in front of Barcelona’s star, Lamine Yamal.
In an interview for 365 Choresı, the Englishman praised the French assailant’s qualities, stressing that he has the ability to distinguish in larger matches and the experience needed to cope with the pressure.
I would have chosen Kyle Mbppen. He is a footballer who can make the difference and score goals at the biggest matches, while he has enough experience to handle the pressure, McManaman said.
However, the former footballer did not even save estimates for Barcelona’s talent, Lamine Yamal, acknowledging that he has managed to appear at high levels despite his youth.
Lamine Yamal is a very talented football player and has played at a very high level despite his youth, but if I have to choose between the two now, I would vote for Mbupenı, he said.
In addition to the Golden Ball debate, McManaman also spoke of the next El Casiconu between Real Madrid and Barcelona, predicting a strong confrontation where small details can be decisive.
He estimated that the absence of Winnicius Junior because of the suspension could affect the madrile game, since Brazilian qualities cannot be fully replaced by another football player.
)Mbappe has extraordinary qualities, of course, but they’re two completely different football players and you can’t replace everything that Winnitius offers simply by putting another football player in his position, he said.
Despite that, McManaman believes Real Madrid can come out victorious from confronting us at ʹCamp Nou’.
I hope Real Madrid wins 3-1, but let’s see what happens. This match always exceeds expectations, he’s done.
The confrontation between the two Spanish football giants is expected to be one of the most important matches of the season, while the focus will be on the individual duel between Mbarpas and Yamal, two of the most controversial names in the race for individual prices.
