Haziri reacts after the Special Law returns

Organiser of the protest “Not in My Name!”, Liberation Haziri, has reacted after the return of the Specialised Chambers Law to the Parliament, stressing that protesters’ requests for protecting the rights of former Kosovo Liberation Army ( U ndo The CK) in The Hague remains unchanged.

Through a public reaction, Haziri has said that during 21 days and nights of protest in the square, their only requirement has been for Kosovo institutions to take responsibility for protecting former KLA leaders’ rights.

I’m seeing a lot of reactions and accusations following the law’s return to the Assembly, so I want to clarify our position once more. For 21 days and 21 nights we have stood out with a single request: that our institutions take responsibility for protecting the rights of former KLA leaders in The Hague. We’ve been protesting a cause that’s far bigger than any of us. We ourselves have demanded that, if there is anything in the law that needs to be changed or improved, this be done. Because we’ve never asked for a law to vote on, but a law that stands legal and that can have real effect. For us, it doesn’t matter who proposes it or who votes it. It matters what the law contains and what he can do, he wrote on Facebook.

According to him, they will continue to monitor each step to improve and vote on the law.

We will continue to monitor the implementation of every article of every letter. I don’t think anyone will try to play with the KLA and this cause. But anyone who thinks he can do that should know that he will be in front of us. Our attitude has not changed. Our request has not changed. Our cause has not changed. For the KLA we’ve been together and for The KLA will continue to stay, he said.
