Kosovo National Institute of Public Health ( The IKKPK has announced that measles are continuing to register in the country, urging parents to vaccinate children and complete lost doses.
According to IKSC data, a total of 242 fruit cases have been confirmed from 16 April to 25 October 2026, while 18 of them have been registered during the last week alone.

IKPK has indicated that over 95 percent of the confirmed cases belong to unaccomplized persons with the MMR vaccine, which protects from measles, parotitis, and rubella.
The institute has warned that measles are highly contagious diseases and can cause serious complications, especially among young children. According to the IKKPK, timely inoculation is the main measure for preventing disease and limiting its spread.
During this year, over 4,006 children of the 250 age group have been vaccinated through vaccinated activities.
The IKPK has called on parents to control their children’s vaccination status and, if they have lost any dose, contact the vaccination teams to meet it as soon as possible.
Vaxing is right and shared responsibility. The protection of every child starts with the timely inoculation, says IKKKPK’s announcement.
