Food and Veterinary Agency ( AUV has eliminated another 21 thousand and 226kg of meat products within the process of attracting food products from the economic operator E P.C.E.
According to AUV’s announcement, products were withdrawn from the market and destroyed on October 30th, under the supervision of veterinarian inspectors.
Among the destroyed products are lungs and chicken thighs, chicken meat, ground beef, beef, and other food products.
This process comes after the AUV’s initial order to ban sales, withdraw from the market, and eliminate three thousand of the 130kg of frozen chicken thighs, as the presence of mold was ascertained.
AUV has made it known that the tracking and gathering of other amounts are ongoing, especially on products in which changes in organoleptic qualities, including the presence of mold.
The agency has announced that it will continue monitoring the process, verifying import documentation, conservation conditions and the cooling chain, with the aim of protecting consumer health.
