An unusual clash between divers has been recorded on a coral reef in Maldives, about 15m below the sea surface.

Chinese diving instructor Xiao Du claims to have been attacked by three people after one of them had pushed him into a crowded area.

According to him, the situation escalated into an underwater clash, during which one of the divers tried to remove the mask while another took hold of it by the arm.

Du also claims that one of them tried to remove the respiratory system at the risk of his life.

After his appearance, the instructor confronted the people involved, accusing them of trying to kill him.

The diving company Maldyves Legend Fleet confirmed the incident and announced that she had suspended one of her instructors.

The event, which took place on October 28th in the Kuda Rah Thila area, has been submitted for investigation to relevant authorities.

The company said it takes the charges very seriously and that full circumstances of the clash must be examined impartially. /Telegraph/
