Two police officials were injured on Saturday night in Squirela, after a car trying to avoid police allegedly hit the official vehicle and took it off the road.

The event took place about 9:45, when the car driver disobeyed the ban and left quickly. During the chase, the police vehicle crashed into an electric pole, while the suspected leader left the scene.

The car was later found accidentally and abandoned in the village of Rezalla. Its owner and mechanic have been interviewed by the police, while investigations into the identity of the driver of the vehicle are continuing.

The two injured police officers first received treatment at the Skokyright QKMF and were later taken to the Regional Hospital in Mitrovica.
