An attack by a large group of people was reported in northern Mitrovica, where two young people were allegedly beaten by about 20 people shortly after leaving a bar. One of them has ended up seeking medical assistance, while suspected authors have not yet been identified, the Signal newspaper reports.
The event took place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, about 23:40 on the street Sami Frashire, near the bar Bida Bing.
Signal sources suggest the victims are Petar Kasalovic, born in 2006, and a minor with initial D.D., born in 2008.
According to information provided by the signal, the two young men reported to the police that they had just left the bar, when they faced a group of about 20 people allegedly physically attacked.
What makes the case even more unusual is that, according to the victims’ statements, they knew none of the attackers and did not know why they were attacked.
As a result of the incident, one youth has needed medical treatment, while the other has not sought medical help.
The case has been addressed by police investigators, who have also notified the State Prosecutor of the reported circumstances.
With the D.A.’s instructions, investigation into criminal acts has been initiated, as well as slight bodily access and CHAulm.
So far, the identity of suspected persons has not been disclosed, while police are investigating the circumstances of the event and the possible motive for the attack.
