In a new interview, U2 vocalist Bono sharply criticised Donald Trump’s administration.

However, he said he does not want to remove people who vote for the Republican Party.

If you can share the conversation about this administration by talking about left and right, conservatives and liberals, then I can continue. Because I think this is an extraordinary moment. I think this is the biggest robbery in world history: stealing America. And it’s not a robbery movie. It’s real and it’s happening, Bono told The New York Times.

He added that he does not want to take away the good people who vote conservatives and Republicans.

Their party has been kidnapped, it’s an aggressive capture of the Republican Party. I want to call them back. I want them back because people vote conservatives for all kinds of reasons that are right. If we can talk about this without the usual arguments, this is a serious problem, Bono said.

Bono also spoke of cuts implemented by the Department for Efficiency of Government ( DOGE). At the helm of this body at the beginning of Trump’s second term was Elon Musk. Bono said losing human life that will follow due to DOGE cuts is unacceptable. In the conversation, he also touched on religion.

To believe in God, or that God is love, has been extremely easy in my life, he said.

Group members say the new album has to do with finding joy in a politically uncertain world. They are convinced that their best songs and performances have yet to come.

We really think we can write the best song we’ve ever written since next week, they said.

Their new album, Kernaval de Luz, is published on November 13th. /Telegraphy/
