He has stressed that the responsibilities he has received since 2020, including running for Mitrovica chairman, three runnings for prime minister and leadership of the PDK, have exercised responsibility towards the party and Kosovo, not personal ambitions.

Hamza has said that during his leadership he has focused on preserving the unity of the party, its structures and the confidence of members of voters.

I’m not leaving PDK. I’m leaving the mayor’s position only, but not because of my faith in our political values. As long as I have life, I will be loyal voters of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and a member of this large political family, Hamza has declared.

He has also expressed his disappointment over the decisions of The Hague Specialised Chambers on former KLA leaders, saying efforts for justice and the dawning of truth will continue.

In the end, Hamza has thanked the PDK members, structures and supporters for the confidence, stressing that the party and the country’s interest should always be on the individual one.

I don’t want the PDK just to lead it. I loved him and I would love him without leading him, he added.
