Albania is aiming to turn into an important destination for dental tourism, drawing more and more patients from Western European countries who seek dental treatments at more affordable prices.
According to British media BBC., Tirana is the main center of this sector, where nearly 400 dental clinics operate in the Metropolitan area, most of which are located in the city center.

Many of them are targeting foreign customers via websites and advertising in English and Italian.
The BBC brings the case of Anthony Hooke, 58-year-old from Bolton of England, who has travelled to Albania to benefit from dental treatments and gain a new smile.
According to the report, a dental implant in Albania usually costs about 600 euros per tooth, a price similar to that in Turkey, which has been among the main destinations for European patients seeking cheaper dental services.
Development of this sector is placing Albania on the map of medical tourism, while clinics aim to attract more international patients./Telegraphy/
