According to the joint police and Prosecution report, the operation was held on November 4th, in the evening hours, after a long operational-ething effort, including special investigative measures and actions.

The investigations have been conducted by the Regional Investigation Sector under the Regional Police Directorate in Prizren, with support from stations and other police units.

Under the Order of the Constitutional Prosecutorship in Prizren has been implemented by the operational plan “Jojozi.” Within the framework of this operational plan are 20 locations (alarms and residential houses), under suspicion of developing illegal gambling activities, the organisation of online luckys, respectively, says the report.

The operation has included three municipalities: Prizren, Suhareka and Dragashin.

Various materials, which can serve as evidence for criminal work, have been seized during the action as the organisation of pyramid schemes and illegal gambling, including about 10,000 euros of cash and electronic equipment.

Also, four firearms and ammunition were seized.

22 people have been arrested during this operation. After interviewing the suspects, in the presence of defence lawyers, with the Prosecution’s decision, 19 were detained for 48 hours, while 3 were released in regular procedure, it is further said.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren and Kosovo Police have stressed that they remain committed to preventing criminal acts, identifying and arresting perpetrators, including acts related to illegal gambling.
